Applications are now being accepted for TechTown Detroit's Start Studio Fall 2022 Cohort. TechTown's Start Studio Discovery is an 11-week program for entrepreneurs in the ideation stage of starting their tech business.
Start Studio Discovery is a TechTown program for the emerging entrepreneur with a tech-based business idea that they want to test in the real world. Start Studio focuses on intensive customer discovery and idea validation 11 weeks of support via weekly three-hour online sessions and weekly meetings with designated Entrepreneurs-in-Residence and Customer Discovery Specialists.
Participants work toward three key outcomes:
- Conducting 100+ interviews with potential customers to test their ideas
- Developing and validating their unique value propositions
- Creating an initial revenue-generating prototype

We invite you to complete this application to be considered for the Fall 2022 cohort. Submission of a video explaining your idea is required.

We appreciate you sharing information about yourself, but it is not required to receive this service. Please note that ALL applicants will be given equal consideration for TechTown programs.
Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59 pm EDT on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Please note that there is a $50 program fee. The fee is due upon acceptance to the program; a limited amount of scholarships are available. You are not required to submit the fee with your application. You will be able to start your application and return to it at a later time by selecting the "Save and Continue Later" feature at the top of the screen.
